How to use it

When it helps
- Your bank, employer or a service sends you password-protected statements, and you want to keep or forward them without typing the password every time.
- The PDF opens without a password but won’t let you print or copy text. Those restrictions are removed too.
What we don’t do
We don’t guess passwords or try lists of them. If you don’t know the password of a document, ask whoever sent it to you.
Only remove the protection from your own documents, or from ones you’re entitled to use this way.

How do I remove a password from a PDF?

Why don’t you ask for a password when the PDF opens without one?
If the PDF only restricts copying or printing, we free it without asking for anything.
Is the new file the same as the original?
Yes: the same pages and content, just without the encryption.
